Creating a Template in Excel
To create a new template in Excel, follow the steps below. In this example, we will be creating the structure for a mortgage calculator.
File –> Blank Worksheet
We are going to create the following the following Mortgage Calculator template.

Click File –> Save As Excel Template (*.xltx)
Excel automatically creates a New Folder in your Documents Folder called “Custom Office Templates
You will find that the Mortgage Calculator Template is now listed in the folder.
When you go to File Personal, you will now see the Mortgage Calculator template as an option.
